Official Announcement – USA Judo Recognition of Judo Illinois

Dear Judo Community of Illinois,

We are proud to announce that USA Judo has officially approved Judo Illinois as the recognized State Organization for Illinois.

This marks an important new chapter for judo in our state.

Our goal is clear: to create a strong, open, and active organization that supports all judoka in Illinois, including athletes, coaches, referees, clubs, parents, and fans.

Judo Illinois will reconnect clubs and members all over the state, give athletes more chances to develop, and give coaches, referees, and volunteers more support in the coming months. We want to hold more events, camps, and eventually bring back the state championships.  We want to work with our members to make judo in Illinois strong and united in the future.   We want every club and every member to know that there’s always room for you at the table.

This recognition is not the finish line—it is the beginning of our work ahead.
