Coaching

 USA Judo is in the process of rebuilding its coaching certification program throughout 2026 and 2027.

Due to this, at the moment, coaches are unable to upgrade their certification level, though they are able to renew if needed.  Our goal is to make sure that anyone who needs to get re-certified can get re-certified.

Requirements:

​

● Must be a current USA Judo Member with Safesport, concussion rraining, and background check registered in the Sport:80 platform.

● Minimum rank of ikkyu

​

In 2027, there will be a new program and a new ranking system, including Assistant Club, Club, Regional, and National coach.

Coaches who want to coach internationally must complete IJF Academy.  If you currently have international rank, you will have two years in which to gain that certification.
